Exemplaire à l’usure superficielle avec une argenture en partie présente. Joli buste au droit

Obverse legend : CARINVS NOBIL CAES.
Obverse description : Buste radié et cuirassé de Carin césar à gauche, vu de trois quarts en avant, un sceptre sur l’épaule droite et tenant un bouclier de la main gauche, orné d’une tête de Méduse (F).
Obverse translation : “Carinus Nobilissimus Cæsar”, (Carin très noble césar).

Reverse


Reverse legend : PRINCIPI IV-VENTVT/ C|-// -.
Reverse description : Carin debout à gauche, lauré et vêtu militairement, tenant un globe de la main droite et une haste renversée de la main gauche.
Reverse translation : “Principi Iuventutis”, (Au prince de la jeunesse).

Commentary


Poids léger. Au droit, notre exemplaire présente un bouclier clouté, orné d’une tête de Méduse. La main du nouveau césar est particulièrement développée sur notre pièce. La cuirasse est cloutée. Pierre Bastien avait relevé quinze exemplaires en 1976.
