It does not bear the words REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE or LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE, but "CHAMBRES DE COMMERCE" followed by the name of the town or region. Despite the will of the authorities, these coins could never be minted in silver, the majority being in aluminum.
