Il existe deux variétés : a) avec l’effigie en relief (avers), pas de tiret entre les années et pas de grènetis au revers ; b) avec effigie plate (avers), avec tiret entre les années et grènetis.

At the end of the war of 14-18, there is no more money. Cities and Chambers of Commerce which already had the right to issue banknotes, in particular in the occupied zone, will have the possibility of circulating emergency banknotes which help monetary circulation. This type of official coin responds to the same request. It does not bear the words REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE or LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE, but "CHAMBRES DE COMMERCE" followed by the name of the town or region. Despite the will of the authorities, these coins could never be minted in silver, the majority being in aluminum.
