Coments on the condition:
Exemplaire sur un petit flan épais, bien centré des deux côtés. Beau portrait de Constance II. Frappe un peu molle au revers. Belle patine vert foncé, légèrement granuleuse

Obverse description : Buste diadémé, drapé et cuirassé de Constance II Auguste à droite, vu de trois quarts en avant (A’a) ; diadème perlé.
Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Constantius Pius Felix Augustus”, (Notre seigneur Constance pieux heureux auguste).

Reverse legend : FEL TEMP - REPARATIO/ -|-// AQS..
Reverse description : L'empereur debout de face tourné à gauche sur une galère voguant à gauche, conduite par Victoria agenouillée à gauche, tenant une rame ; l'empereur est vêtu militairement, tenant un globe surmonté d'un phénix de la main droite et un labarum chrismé de la main gauche.
Reverse translation : “Felicitas Temporum Reparatio”, (Le retour des temps heureux).
Commentary
Rubans perlés de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Les ptéryges ne sont pas visibles sous le paludamentum. Ce type pour Constance II semble plus rare que ne le laissent supposer les ouvrages généraux. C’est la première fois que nous proposons une maiorina de l’atelier d’ Aquilée.
