Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle sur un petit flan épais et irrégulier. Beau buste de Constance II. Revers finement détaillé. Belle patine marron. Conserve la plus grande partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Caesar
Constantius II was born on August 7, 318 in Sirmium. He was raised to the cesarat on November 8, 324 at the age of six. In 337, after the death of his father, it was he who murdered or allowed most of his collateral family, descendants of Constantius Chlorus and Theodora. Only Constance Galle and Julien escape the massacre.
