Coments on the condition:

Exemplaire sur un flan épais, ovale et bien centré des deux côtés, légèrement irrégulier avec les grènetis visibles. Très beau portrait inhabituel de Diaduménien. Joli revers de style fin, bien venu à la frappe, de haut relief. Jolie patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets mordorés

Reverse legend : PRINC. IVVENTVTIS.

Reverse description : Diaduménien debout à gauche, vêtu militairement, tenant un bâton de la main droite et un sceptre court de la gauche ; derrière, une aigle légionnaire et une enseigne militaire.

Reverse translation : “Princeps Iuventutis”, (Prince de la jeunesse).

Commentary

Rubans de type 3. Le buste est seulement drapé, pas de ptéryges sous le paludamentum. Le buste radié et drapé à droite vu de trois quarts en arrière (A21) semble beaucoup plus rare que ne le laissent supposer les ouvrages généraux.
