Flan bien centré, éclaté entre 11h et 12h ainsi qu’à 9h. Patine vert foncé. Usure importante mais régulière. La monnaie reste parfaitement lisible et identifiable

Reverse description : Diaduménien debout à gauche, tournant la tête à droite, vêtu militairement, tenant une enseigne militaire de la main droite et un sceptre court de la gauche ; derrière, une aigle légionnaire et une enseigne militaire.

Caesar

Diadumenian becomes Caesar when his father Macrin is proclaimed august in April 217. He receives the title of prince of youth. Macrinus brings him into the Severian family by making him take the prænomen of Antoninus, as he himself seized that of Severus. After the proclamation of Elagabalus, Macrinus raised his son to august in May 218 for a very short period. Beaten in June, Macrin and Diaduménien fled. The latter is caught while trying to pass to the Parthians by crossing the Euphrates. He is killed.
