Historical background

FABIA

(124 BC)

Quintus Fabius Labeo belonged to the important gens Fabia. He would be the Fabius quoted by Cicero according to H. Grueber, which seems unlikely. In 124 BC, Caius Gracchus assumed his first tribune on December 10. In Gaul, the Romans must fight the Arvernes and the Allobroges. Caius Cassius Longinus and Caius Sextius Calvinus were consuls.
