Historical background

FURIA

(84 BC)

Publius Furius Crassipes is known only by its coins. He is perhaps the father of a namesake husband of Tullia, daughter of Cicero, who will later be Proquestioner in Sicily. In 84 BC, Cinna, consul for the fourth time, was assassinated while in charge. Cnæus Papirius Carbo, consul for the second time, remains alone in place.
