Flan court et quadrangulaire, avec une tête largement hors flan au droit. Le revers n’a que les deux premiers cantons de visibles. Patine grise de collection ancienne

Obverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.

Obverse description : Tête à gauche ; avec une oreille ; chevelure faite de deux rangées de boucles en esses encadrant une torsade nattée et se terminant à l’arrière le long du cou.

Reverse

Reverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.

Reverse description : Croix formée de quatre cantons ; grenade entrouverte au 1er canton, quatre feuilles au 2e, une hache au manche perlé au 3e et un cercle à bordure interne flammée avec un point en son centre, flammé aussi au 4e canton.

Commentary

Au revers de cet exemplaire, le centre de la croix n’est pas croiseté. Ce type de monnaie était largement représenté dans le trésor de Dunes (Tarn-et-Garonne)..
