Exemplaire sur un flan large, parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Portrait particulier, inhabituel. Joli revers. Patine grise avec des reflets métalliques dorés. Conserve son brillant de frappe et son coupant d’origine

Reverse description : Hercule nu debout de face, regardant à droite, posant sa main droite sur sa hanche et tenant de sa main gauche une massue posée sur un rocher ; à côté de la massue, une peau de lion.
Reverse translation : "Virtuti Augusti", (À la Virilité de l'auguste).
Commentary
Poids léger. Rubans de type 3. Ptéryges invisibles sous le paludamentum. Portrait très particulier qui normalement n’est pas pour l’atelier de Rome.

Gordian III is the grandson of Gordian I and the nephew of Gordian II, ephemeral emperors of the year 238. At the request of the people of Rome, he is chosen as Caesar by Balbin and Pupian and succeeds them after their assassinations.
