Il est parfois difficile de donner un nom aux petites monnaies d’argent divisionnaires du VIe siècle avant la création de l’hexagramme ou double miliarense d’argent.

HERACLIUS, HERACLIUS CONSTANTINE and MARTINA

(614-638)

Martine was Heraclius' second wife, but also his niece. Heraclius married her in 614. She was the mother of Heraclonas, born in 626, created Caesar in 630, associated in 638 and who reigned alone between April 20 and October 641. Martine and her son after their abdication were mutilated and exiled to Rhodes.
