Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle pour ce type de monnayage sur un petit flan ovale, bien centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis visibles. Beau buste de Justin Ier. Revers de style fin bien venu à la frappe. Jolie patine avec des reflets dorés. Conserve la plus grande partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Obverse description : Buste diadémé, drapé et cuirassé de Justin à droite vu de trois quarts en avant (A’) ; diadème perlé.

Reverse description : Victoire debout de face, tournée à gauche, tenant une couronne de la main droite et un globe crucigère de la main gauche.

Commentary

Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités perlées. Diadème perlé avec une sorte de bandeau, terminé par un cabochon gemmé. Fibule d’attache avec trois pendants perlés. Ptéryges fines sous le paludamentum visibles de chaque côté du buste. Étoile dans le champ à droite.
