Exemplaire sur un flan large et irrégulier avec les grènetis visibles. Usure importante, mais parfaitement lisible et identifiable. Sans patine

Commentary
Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Le diadème est à peine visible. Ptéryges larges sous le paludamentum. Au revers, la marque de valeur est encadrée par une deux croisettes et une étoile. Ce type semble le premier frappé sous le règne de Justinien Ier. Semble avoir été surfrappé.

Justinian succeeded his uncle Justin in 527 after a co-regency from April 4 to August 1, 527. He reigned with Empress Theodora. The construction of Hagia Sophia was completed under his reign, which marks the height of the Byzantine conquests.
