On trouve dans l’Almanach civil, politique et littéraire de Lyon et du département de Rhône de 1769 qu’un Jean-Claude Yon, Ecuyer, ancien seigneur de Jonage, fut Conseiller en la Cour des Monnaies, Sénéchaussée et Présidial, mais notre personnage est très probablement François Yon, écuyer, Seigneur de Jonage et Mares dont la fille se maria en 1714
