Exemplaire sur un flan bien centré des deux côtés. Superbe portrait de Zeus, bien venu à la frappe. La monnaie a conservé une partie de son brillant de frappe. Patine grise

Coinage in the name of Philipp II of Macedonia type

Cassander, the first of the epigones, succeeded his father, Antipater, in 319 BC. He allied himself in 315 with Seleucus, Ptolemy and Lysimachus to fight Antigone and Demetrius. In 311 BC, he killed Roxane and Alexander IV. In 305 BC, he took the title of King. Cassander triumphed over Antigone at Ipsos where the latter died. He was killed in 297 BC with his son Philip IV. After the death of Demetrius Poloircète in 283 BC, it was his son Antigone Gonatas who ascended the throne of Macedonia.
