Exemplaire sur un flan épais, légèrement décentré au droit sur la tête d’Héraklès. Droit décentré avec le grènetis visible. Très joli revers de haut relief et de style fin. Belle patine grise superficielle avec des reflets dorés

Reverse description : Zeus aétophore, les jambes croisées, assis à gauche sur un siège sans dossier, nu jusqu'à la ceinture, tenant un aigle posé sur sa main droite et un long sceptre bouleté de la gauche ; dans le champ à gauche, un gouvernail.
Reverse legend : BASILEWS/ FILIPPOU.
Commentary
Pour ce type, nous avons les deux types de revers avec les jambes parallèles, puis avec les jambes croisées. Le style du gouvernail est très fin. Nous n’avons pas relevé d’identité de coin pertinente.

Coinage in the name of Philipp III and Alexander type
Philip, son of Philip II and the half-brother of Alexander, was not entirely in his right mind. On the death of the conqueror and faced with the lack of power, in order to maintain the fiction of the unity of the Empire, he was proclaimed king, but in fact he had no power. He was assassinated at the instigation of Olympias, Alexander's mother, in 316 BC.
