Semble de même coin de droit que l’exemplaire du British Museum provenant de la collection Borrell 1850, MP. 2903a, pl. LXXVIII. Contremarque séleucide à l’ancre sur la légende au revers.

PAMPHYLIA - ASPENDOS

(3rd - 2nd century BC)

Aspendos, located twelve kilometers from the summit of Eurymedon, was a great economic place and had a large port on the coast. Aspendos remained loyal to the Persians until the arrival of Alexander the Great and resisted him before being taken in 333 BC. Aspendos belonged to the kingdom of Pergamum between 189 and 133 BC.
