Exemplaire sur un petit flan épais et irrégulier, parfaitement centré avec les grènetis visibles. Portrait mou au droit. Joli revers. Magnifique patine grise avec des reflets métalliques

Obverse description : Buste radié, drapé et cuirassé de Postume à droite, vu de trois quarts en avant (A).
Obverse translation : "Imperator Cæsar Postumus Pius Felix Augustus", (L’empereur césar Postume pieux heureux auguste).

Reverse legend : COS - IIII.
Reverse description : Pax-Nemesis (la Paix) nue jusqu'à la ceinture, ailée, debout à droite, portant sa main droite à sa tête et tenant une longue palme de la gauche.
Reverse translation : "Consul quartum", (Consul pour la quatrième fois).
Commentary
Poids très lourd. Avec son argenture superficielle. Rubans de type 3. Ptéryges invisibles sous le paludamentum.

Postume seizes the purple by eliminating Salonin, son of Gallien, of whom he had custody. He reigns over Gaul, Brittany and Spain. Did Postume toy with the idea of conquering the Roman Empire? Gallien, twice, will try to reconquer the "pars occidentalis" of the Empire, without success. Postume will remain in power for nine years, before perishing assassinated for having refused the sack of Mainz, a city which supported Lélien.
