Reverse description : Divinité fluviale cornue, nue jusqu’à la ceinture (le Rhin), couchée à gauche, appuyée sur un rocher, tenant un sceptre ou un roseau de la main gauche ; devant, une proue de galère.
Reverse translation : “Salus Provinciarum”, (La Santé des provinces).

Postume seizes the purple by eliminating Salonin, son of Gallien, of whom he had custody. He reigns over Gaul, Brittany and Spain. Did Postume toy with the idea of conquering the Roman Empire? Gallien, twice, will try to reconquer the "pars occidentalis" of the Empire, without success. Postume will remain in power for nine years, before perishing assassinated for having refused the sack of Mainz, a city which supported Lélien.
