Reverse description : Salonin, vêtu militairement debout à gauche, tenant un bâton de la main droite et une haste transversale de la main gauche ; à sa droite, deux enseignes.

Caesar
Salonin was raised to the cesarat after the death of his brother, Valérien II. Sent to Gaul, under the protection of Postumus then simple general, he was proclaimed august after the capture of Valerian I in June or July 260. Postumus, proclaimed august in his turn, besieged Salonin and had him put to death.
