Obverse description : Quadrige galopant à droite, conduit par un aurige, tenant les rênes et le kentron, couronné par une Niké volant à gauche ; ligne d'exergue.

Reverse description : Tête féminine (Aréthuse) à droite, les cheveux tirés en arrière avec couronne d'épis, boucle d'oreille et collier, entourée de trois dauphins.

Commentary

Mêmes coins que l’exemplaire reproduit dans le Jenkins, Coins of Punic Sicily, p. 73, n° X, pl. 22 (A/ 1 - R/ 2) provenant du British Museum (Siculo-Punic incertain, p. 254-1. Pour ce type seulement deux exemplaires liés par les coins étaient recensés par Jenkins en 1971 dont l’exemplaire du musée de Palerme.
