Obverse description : Buste mi-long à droite avec barbe fluide et branches de chêne et de laurier devant la poitrine.

Obverse translation : Dieu vaut qu’aucun mal ne vous soit fait, cher Zurich.

Reverse

Reverse legend : GRANDSON MURTEN / NANCY // 1489-1889.

Reverse description : Waldmann debout cuirassé tient une lance où est accroché une banière et son blason coiffé d’un heaume de chevalier. De part et d’autre, les armoiries de Zurich avec une branche de laurier montante, et le sceau de la ville de Zurich sur une branche de chêne montante. Signé : W. M..

Commentary

Hans Waldmann (1435-1489) est un chef militaire suisse et bourgmestre de Zurich.
D’après le site du museum Burg Zug, cinq médailles ont été réalisées en or, 70 en argent, 300 en bronze et 125 en bronze doré, argenté.
