Exemplaire sur un flan ovale, centré des deux côtés, mais court sur la légende au revers. Très beaux portraits de style fin. Revers bien venu à la frappe. Patine grise superficielle avec des reflets dorés

THRACE - ISTROS
(4th - 2nd century BC)
Istros, a Milesian colony, located equidistant from Callatis and the mouths of the Danube, is in Lower Moesia. The Greek name gave its Latin name to the Danube (Danuvius). The two juvenile heads, comparable to the Dioscuri (Gemini), represent the mouths of the Danube (Ister).
